23rd of October – Let’s celebrate Halloween!
Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops.
Nowadays the holiday is popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, many parts of Europe and other countries of the world.
So why don’t we dress up and gather all together on Thursday 23rd October ? Let’s bring some horror atmosphere to the school! You are more than welcome to bring with you some scary stories (in French ) and some typical food from your country.
Please note, the best costume has the chance to win a prize.
